About the Book
Clarissa and her friends are putting on a play, right? Well, what if I told you the star of the play, Emily, disappears, leaving the spotlight to go to someone else?
Oh, I forgot to mention who that is. Emily. Well, she's Clarissa's sister, and might I say, when a fortune is told to Clarissa that her sister wasn't just missing, she was murdered, questions start to fly.
Not only does that spark questions, but we also find out they were paid to tell her. Talk about that being intriguing. Now, not only does she have to figure out if this fortune is true, she has a dipshit following along to solve the "missing or dead" case.
Come along with Clarissa and Detective Dumbass as she dives deep to figure out what happened. Because if what she fears is true, this play could turn tragic. (PS. Cover might change!)

About the Characters
This isn’t a cast list. It’s not a friendly introduction. It’s a collection of people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time—or exactly where they wanted to be
Call them characters if it makes you feel better. I call them suspects. Emily would’ve called them something worse.
Speaking of Emily—yes, that Emily—you’re going to hear her name a lot. That’s kind of the problem.
So here’s how this works: you look through them. You decide who seems normal. You decide who doesn’t. You think you’re in control of that process.
You’re not.
Anyway. Go ahead. Meet the "cast". Or don’t. They were never great at introductions anyway.
Daniel Hocker
Daniel Hocker, "Dipshit Daniel", is on the case to help Clarissa solve this murder. Unlike Clarissa, Daniel loves the attention, known for being the "Hot Girl" in their class.
Austin Douglas
Austin is most known for being Lance's pimp. He's always on Lance's tail, following where he goes. Austin likes to call himself Robin, and has the fantasy Lance is Batman.
Business
Clarissa is our brutally honest, sarcastic-Deadpool in a way-Main Character. She "hates" Daniel, and most definitely hates the BS. In all and all, don't get on her bad side.
Enterprise
Julia is often known as the soft-spoken type. Dating abby, which her parents are not fond of the community she is in, she often had Abby validate for her. How sweet!
Lance Fieldman
Lance is our wanna be bad boy. He thinks he's clever, but he's not. Rather, he gets caught every time. So when ever he trashes the girl's bathroom, or steals from the vending machine, everybody knows its him who did it.
Phoebe Hocker
Related to Daniel Hocker, Phoebe is the opposite of stupid. With a GPA of 4.0, several AP classes, tagged along with college classes, she is our brainy diva, who thinks of intelligence as superpower.
Rebecca Johnson
Rebecca is known as our Gossiper. You know that one person who is always on their phone, always posting? That's Rebecca for you, though, her posts are more Regina George core.
Abby Hawkins
Abby is our perfectionist. Very into drawing and sketching and makeup. But boy, when she makes a mistake, it's ugly. Often you'll find eraser marks and creases in her sketchbook because of how much she so-call "ruins".
